78 RPM REPLACEMENT FOR TEAC STL-153B STL153B STYLUS

The 78 RPM replacement for the Teac STL-153B STL153B stylus features a 3.0 mil polished diamond for long playing life and correct tracing of 78 RPM record grooves. It offers minimal groove wear and accurate rendition of voice and music.

You need to verify the stylus depicted above to your existing stylus. If your existing stylus looks different and does not have a drop-down stylus guard then do not order this.

To maintain the playback fidelity of your 78 record you really need to use a stylus designed for 78 RPM records. A very common misconception is that you can use a LP stylus for playing 78 records. This is one quick and sure way to damage the 78 record grooves. Moreover, the LP stylus is much narrower than the 78 record groove, hence the tip will slide to the bottom of the groove where debris has collected for many decades, resulting in extraordinarily high-surface noise.

Please note: The stylus above is sometimes mistaken for the Teac STL-153 STL153 stylus but it really is the Teac STL-153B STL153B stylus. For the 78 RPM stylus replacement for the Teac STL-153 STL153 stylus, refer to the Related Products.

Carbon Fidelity is a bargain!

I’m not even going into details about how much money (thousands) I’ve spent on different phono cartridges with exotic stylus. Comparatively, the Carbon Fidelity CFN3600LE Stylus is an incredible bargain. Tracks very well, low surface noise, zero IGD and best of all sounds terrific. You really can’t go wrong!

Excellent sound quality

Life changing

I wish I was being dramatic
I didn’t want to pay for a new record player for my Billie Ellis vinyls
But I can listen to the songs clear as day now with this!! Okay, it skips sometimes as you would expect
But cheaper than getting a couple hundred dollar record player

Very nice upgrade.

I've had this for over 6 months, and I can report that it has much better bass, and treble than the original. Everything is very clean and detailed sounding. A few notable examples. I recently ordered Eva Cassidy Live Blues Alley 25th anniversary, 180gram, 45RPM. The soundstage is absolutely amazing. It is on the same level, if not surpasses MoFi Eric Clapton Unplugged SACD. My sister gifted me the soundtrack to Sinners on 180gram vinyl. I actually heard the soundtrack before I saw the movie. I didn't know vinyl could support so much bass. My room becomes fully pressurized with that soundtrack, backed by a SVS SB3000. Last would be Miles Davis Kind of Blue. I have this on 200gram 33/3RPM and MoFi SACD. I can hear tape hiss on both, and both sound very much the same. SACD wins on floor noise, but really not by much. My vinyl copy is also crazy clean sounding, but sonically sounding, they sound so close.
