Stylus for Stanton 881S cartridge

Used on an old 881( 44 year old) mounted on SME5 tonearm sitting on Ariston RD90 deck. The stylus is flawless tracking at 1.25g with no sibilance or distortion. Open sound with razor sharp low frequencies prominent lower midrange and smooth treble .Nicely balanced left to right output phase and crosstalk . Lots of body to the music ( No Mickey mouse singers). Does not beat the 2K Black Koetsu but way better than earlier Audio Technica OC9 ,Denon 301 and overpriced mistracking Shelter501 I have owned . If you own an 881 cartridge you won't regret buying this stylus . Sound is very similar to the old Shibata stylus and very smooth and nonfatiguing. Review is based on about 50 hours of listening

STNS881S, the best replacement for Stanton's D81S needle stylus, to use with the Stanton 881S phono cartridge, is Stereohedron tipped (info from LP Gear).

It has a great sound and detail for the price

It’s the hard to find, exact match stylus for my old JVC turntable. These guys had a replacement stylus for my original circa-1977 audiophile stereo system. I did pay for accelerated shipping, which was my choice (I don’t like it when my stereo is down!). LP Tunes had what I wanted, when I wanted it. Professional and zero drama. I’ll most certainly go to LP Tunes for my stereo equipment in the future, and I’d have no problem recommending them to others.

The stylus hasn’t yet been delivered. Maybe stuck at customs…
