MUSIC HALL MMF2.2 MMF 2.2 MMF-2.2 TURNTABLE IMPROVED

The new Music Hall MMF-2.2 MMF2.2 turntable offers several enhancements over the Music Hall MMF-2.1 by including the tonearm from the MMF5, new vibration damping feet and a lower resonant platform. It also now comes in georgeous gloss black to match the rest of the MMF line.

The Music Hall MMF-2.2 MMF2.2 is a complete turntable system including tonearm with the Music Hall Tracker cartridge mounted at the factory. At $449.00, it has no peer and is the best value audiophile quality turntable available in the market. Minimal set-up is required. In about 20 minutes you should be able to start listening to your records. The illustrated instructions are simple, clear and easy-to-follow.

It sounds quite good right out of the box. Its has a bit of brashness and sibilance that can be sometimes annoying. Also, it may lack verve and clarity. The LP Gear Rx9HE stylus overcomes these issues and lifts performance to a higher level of discernment. The LP Gear Rx9HE stylus offers a natural and refined tonal balance with vivid and graceful detail--music you can listen to forhours and hours.

The Music Hall MMF-2.2 turntable is a 2-speed (33 1/3 & 45 RPM) belt drive design of sheer simplicity. Bereft of adornment, its engineering is focused on critical componentsthe bearing, motor, tonearm, and isolation. It is a complete turnkey turntable system that can be easily assembled within 20 minutes. It is easy to own, operate and maintain so you can focus on playing your records and listening to music. It has the following distinctive qualities:

  • The bearing is made from high quality, stainless steel sheathed in a bronze fitting. A Teflon thrust plate ensures a fluid and noise free operation. The bearing assembly comes pre-charged with lubricant.

  • The 2-speed high-torque, AC-synchronous motor is decoupled from the turntable by a rubber spring suspension and four rubber dampers thus minimizing vibration.

  • A rubber drive belt connects the motor to the non-resonant polymer sub platter.

  • Precision high quality one piece alloy tonearm for structural integrity and superb tracing ability.

  • The arm also has adjustable VTA for a damped arm lift and uses highly flexible internal wiring drawn from high purity copper.

  • Special vibration damping feet

  • High quality, gold-plated phono jacks

  • Dynamically balanced 4.5 lb machined metal alloy platter provides rotational stability and minimizes wow.

  • Cartridge factory installed correctly so no set-up and alignment is required.

  • Gorgeous high-gloss piano black lacquer finish and handsome removable dustcover

  • Supplied accessory: 45 RPM adaptor

  • Excellent instruction manual
  • Very easy assembly can be completed within 20 minutes

Carbon Fidelity is a bargain!

I’m not even going into details about how much money (thousands) I’ve spent on different phono cartridges with exotic stylus. Comparatively, the Carbon Fidelity CFN3600LE Stylus is an incredible bargain. Tracks very well, low surface noise, zero IGD and best of all sounds terrific. You really can’t go wrong!

Excellent sound quality

Life changing

I wish I was being dramatic
I didn’t want to pay for a new record player for my Billie Ellis vinyls
But I can listen to the songs clear as day now with this!! Okay, it skips sometimes as you would expect
But cheaper than getting a couple hundred dollar record player

Very nice upgrade.

I've had this for over 6 months, and I can report that it has much better bass, and treble than the original. Everything is very clean and detailed sounding. A few notable examples. I recently ordered Eva Cassidy Live Blues Alley 25th anniversary, 180gram, 45RPM. The soundstage is absolutely amazing. It is on the same level, if not surpasses MoFi Eric Clapton Unplugged SACD. My sister gifted me the soundtrack to Sinners on 180gram vinyl. I actually heard the soundtrack before I saw the movie. I didn't know vinyl could support so much bass. My room becomes fully pressurized with that soundtrack, backed by a SVS SB3000. Last would be Miles Davis Kind of Blue. I have this on 200gram 33/3RPM and MoFi SACD. I can hear tape hiss on both, and both sound very much the same. SACD wins on floor noise, but really not by much. My vinyl copy is also crazy clean sounding, but sonically sounding, they sound so close.
